Recruiters' Frequently Asked Questions

If you are in doubt about the service we offer, then the information below may provide the answers.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Because I offer money, won’t I get lots of applicants who are unsuitable or not interested?

A. You shouldn’t do. Remember candidates only apply if they are interested in your job, not just because someone refers it to them. No one will take time to apply to a job they don’t want.  In fact, if someone is referred, both the referrer and the candidate will think that they are a good fit, so chances are they will be an even closer fit.
Also you can define filter questions for each job, anyone who does not answer your questions correctly will not be able to apply.

Q. What size of reward should I offer?

A. There is no obvious answer. But think about the level of the role, your internal referral scheme, how much you would pay to a recruitment company for the same person - and how much it is costing you not to have someone in the role. We don’t want you to throw your money away, but the bigger the reward, the harder people may be tempted to search. Remember, contrary to most advertising, you only pay the reward if the job is filled.

Q. What happens if the candidate leaves after the guarantee period?

A. Although we hope this will not happen, unfortunately there is nothing we can do. The reward you have paid is likely to be much less than a recruitment agency fee, which will also have a guarantee period of a similar term, or a traditional advert that costs a lot of money with no guarantees.

Q. Why can’t you bill us after a candidate has worked for the guarantee period?

A. Because the referrer will expect their reward on time and we cannot pay them if you do not pay us. Terms are strictly within 28 days from start date. If you are late in paying we will have to review your ability to offer a reward on future job postings.

Q. Is there any tax or legal issues paying rewards?

A. None. You will pay JobTonic.com the reward, not the referrer direct. Think of us as an automated (and very inexpensive) recruitment company, apart from the small advertising cost, you pay whatever you think is a fair fee and most of that goes to the referrer, who is responsible for their own tax.
