Description

TECHNICAL SOFTWARE SUPPORT ENGINEER
AUTOMOTIVE CONSULTANCY
Shoreham-By-Sea or Leamington Spa

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Technical Software Support Engineer to join a world-leading provider of technology, product innovation, engineering solutions and strategic consulting to the world’s automotive, transport and energy industries.

This is your chance to join the branch of the company responsible for the development, sales and support of their market-leading engineering analysis software to their worldwide customer-base including all the major automotive manufacturers, together with most of the F1 engine manufacturers. The company’s software products comprise tools for the analysis of fluid and mechanical engine, powertrain and vehicle systems.

After appropriate training, you would become responsible for supporting the customers’ use of the company’s marketing-leading simulation software, including the provision of model setup, execution and analysis. You would also organise and conduct local and customer-site training courses and generate training material. In addition, you would work with the company’s commercial staff to support presentations and product demonstrations. Finally, you would report and communicate customer feedback to the product management and development teams.

Qualified to degree level in mechanical engineering (preferably automotive), you will have knowledge of 1D engine cycle simulation modelling. Knowledge of 3D CFD modelling and basic programming in Fortran or C would be a distinct advantage.
