PRINCIPAL/ SENIOR OVERHEAD LINE ENGINEERS - ELECTRICAL
ENGINEERING CONSULTANCY
NEWCASTLE/ MANCHESTER/ GLASGOW/ GODALMING

We are currently looking to recruit Principal/ Senior Overhead Line Engineers within the Newcastle, Manchester, Godalming and Glasgow offices. You will be involved in providing Technical Assistance services including feasibility studies and conceptual design through to the preparation of technical specifications and tender documents.

As Overhead Line Engineer you will also have Project Management responsibilities including all aspects of technical management such as design audit and factory inspection of contractor designs through to program and construction management.

Qualified to degree level in electrical engineering and MIEE or equivalent experience, you will have significant experience in the design and application of wood pole and sub transmission overhead lines.

As Overhead Line Engineer you should also have proven technical or project management experience associated with transmission (275kV to 500kV) overhead lines. Experience will ideally have been gained in a project delivery environment within a transmission utility, consultancy or major contracting environment.

Experience with the design of wood pole lines would be an advantage, as would an understanding of UK CDM regulations and/or National Grid standards.
