Our client, Western Australias largest electricity producer is now looking to recruit Control and Instrumentation Engineers to provide overall control & instrument (C&I) maintenance technical direction and day-to-day engineering support for the power station, and to ensure that all station C&I engineering matters are addressed in a consistent, timely, safe, reliable, efficient and cost-effective manner.
As Control & Instrumentation Engineer you will be involved in planning and implementing the business direction of the team, developing the skills and expertise of the team and making best use of assigned resources, as well as identifying, reviewing and approving all station electrical requirements including maintenance work scope and capital expenditure proposals
You will provide advice and make recommendations and key decisions on complex digital C&I matters relating to the stations maintenance requirements and will prepare and implement robust and transparent long-term C&I maintenance plans, including risk analysis.
A Control & Instrument or Electrical Engineering degree is essential to succeed as Control & Instrumentation Engineer and Chartered Membership of an appropriate institute is encouraged. You should have substantial experience in the electricity business and/or power generating equipment, including a number of years in a leadership role plus sound experience in the generation field.
You should have relevant industry, experience, skills and knowledge in power station C&I or electrical engineering maintenance models, policies and procedures, financial and modelling skills, safe working practices and procedures, people, customer and stakeholder management skills and experience of generation primary and secondary plant and their application. You should also be computer literate.
A postgraduate qualification in Business or Management is highly desirable, and you should have a full driving licence.
