Quality Engineers are now required at this leading designer and manufacturer of electric motors and revolutionary new wheel motors for the automotive and allied industries based in Hampshire.

Reporting to the Vice President of Operations successful candidates will be suitably qualified with experience in standardised work - structure / process. Metrology skills (including calibration, gauges, jigs, locator strategies, etc) as well as knowledge of torque control are required. Tooling and facility experience (such as layouts, spec of tooling) would be advantageous. Problem solving skills (8D, 6Sigma & minimum basic SPC) are necessary. You will also need excellent PC skills, and experience of the use CAD would be a bonus. You will have previous exposure to lean tools & techniques.

As Quality Engineer you will need the ability to assist and develop other elements on the shop floor - such as the assembly jigs & fixtures, process improvements, 5S, control points and measurement strategy. Awareness / experience of lean manufacturing tools/techniques (for example quality mapping, value stream analysis) and an understanding of PPAP / ISIR would be a benefit. Prior exposure to new product launch / involvement in a gateway structured program would also be beneficial for this role. Furthermore successful candidates will require good presentation skills. A self starter, you will have the ability to train others and work alone. You will also be analytical and a good team player.
