Carpe Diem Legal is a legal recruitment consultancy set up to offer a tailored and personal service to the legal profession as a whole. Its consultants connect solicitors firms, barristers chambers and in-house legal departments with legal people at all levels. Clients range from Magic Circle and City-based US and national law firms (who not only recruit within the UK but seek candidates for their international offices) to High Street firms, whether those firms offer private and/or publicly-funded services. Carpe Diem Legal was founded by Caroline Evans and Deborah Saw, both of whom have undertaken recruitment on a local, national and international basis over the last two decades. The Directors’ backgrounds compliment the business because one Director originally came from legal fee earning and the other from HR Management. Between the two, the Directors are able to provide a diverse understanding of the legal sectors’ needs and requirements and have developed a practice which offers a full consultancy service. The consultancy was conceived from the Directors’ realisation that, by having direct control of the way things are done, they could offer a higher level of service to candidates and clients alike. Deliberately steering away from quotas, targets and commission-based earnings, CDL’s consultants are concerned only about finding the right people for the right job.
