before i joined wagamama i have to say I didn't know much about it! a friend worked here and said I should go for it as it is a great place to work, so I did and here I am 6 years later!

i started as a foh manager and have worked my way up to operations manager. i was lucky enough to be one of the first agm's in a twinning restaurant. i remember thinking to myself "i am really lucky to have this". i then moved from twinning two city branches to manage the wigmore street branch, which was completely different - but exciting too! then from there i have been promoted to operation manager where i look after 10 sites. once again very different but i am loving the challenge

what's always been so great here is the opportunities to try new things. the management really trusts us to get things done so we have a lot of responsibility, which is great as it inspires loyalty. however, the support is always there if we need it. things can get very busy but it's very satisfying and fulfilling to see things going well. i've been with the company 6 years and I still really do love it!

being a frequent diner at streatham street back in 1994 I would see a consistently long queue, stretching miles outside. I thought to myself 'a non smoking restaurant that is packed everyday? time must fly working there!' later that year I found out from a colleague that a new wagamama was opening and they were looking for staff. I got a job there as front of house manager and I have enjoyed my time here ever since

over the years our growth and successful expansion has made it more and more exciting for all of us involved. I believe our strength has always been to look after the individual personalities of our staff, making his or her time with us as enjoyable as possible. when doing this we are quick to notice talent and develop this further to 'grow' our own managers. just look at the number of managers we have who all started on the 'floor' and have worked their way up! I am convinced our strong company culture stems back to this fact. and it's now up to us to maintain and continue in the same fashion for our continuous success in the future

being involved in the international expansion over the last couple of years has confirmed to me how strong our culture is and how proud our staff are to work for wagamama. I receive this feedback all the time when speaking to our international managers and partners. It's a great challenge to maintain our brand internationally but also to be able to see and experience the improvements our partners can make to our operation. the future can't be more exciting with further expansion throughout the uk, america and the rest of the world!

I am looking forward to continuing to be a very proud employee of wagamama

the environment here is great. It's a lot of fun and you can make it what you want it to be. i go to work happy and positive everyday. i joined in february 1995 as a back of house team member in our streatham street restaurant. i needed a job and had a friend who was a manager here and said they were looking for people. i haven't looked back since!

with a lot of hard work i've worked my way up to sous chef, working in many of our uk restaurants along the way. the prospects here are great and there is huge potential to achieve more. there's so much to learn and each day is different. the people are the best thing about working here, everyone can be themselves. if your team is good and you're having fun then you have job satisfaction!

when i joined wagamama it was only the 2nd job I'd ever had! i started out as a front of house team member in knightsbridge and now I am general manager of our training restaurant in camden. i enjoy every minute of my job and i make sure those around me do too! the best thing about working here is that every day is fun! the people are fantastic, wagamama is a team and it's great when we all get together. our opinions count and we always get a say in what's going on

i've matured a lot during my time here and learnt so much both professionally and personally. i am really proud of what i have achieved since i started and proud to be part of the company. it's the best in the industry, we're paid well and the future prospects are fantastic. you know that if you work hard enough and you want it you can achieve anything
