Description

Technical Architect is required by our client to have a global view over their requirements and lead a team of 3 Technical Architects that work on specific projects. The ideal candidate is as follows:

- Strong proven track record of designing and specifying medium and large software systems and of designing and modelling distributed n-tier development projects using both data-centric and object-centric architectures.
- Strong previous experience of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Background of engineering complex, high volume transactional systems, including those in Microsoft SQL Server environments.
- Good working knowledge of the Rational Unified Process (RUP).
- Good working knowledge and expertise of modelling with UML 2.0, Rational Software Architect, and CASE tools in general.
- Software development expertise across a range of platforms and technologies (both Microsoft .NET and native code).
- Good working knowledge of, and expertise of deployment topologies and best practices including distributed infrastructures, web services, and networking.
- Good working knowledge of and experience of SOA principles, strategies, and best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal, and communication skills at all levels of an organisation.
- Experience of leading a team
